FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Getting your home re-stumped can be daunting, so we have compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions to put your mind at ease. If there is anything else you might like to discuss, please don't hesitate to contact us.

1. Will I have to pull up the floors of my house?
 - Maybe! Each house we work on is unique and will need to be assessed by a member of our team to determine if there is appropriate access to the sub floor. Typically there is enough access and floors do not need to be pulled up, but on the odd occasion it must be done.

2. How is a house lifted?

 - When we lift a house we use 7-20 Tonne hydraulic jacks. These jacks are set up under the bearers and are used to lift and relevel your house.

3. Can you guarantee a level floor when the works are complete?
- Short Answer: No. All houses are unique and we always do everything we can to level your floors as much as we can without causing damage or other issues.

4. Will I have to move out of my house while the works are being done?
 - Unlikely! It all depends on how much space is under your house. One of our team members will be happy to assess the access to your subfloor at a no-obligation quote and will be able to determine if this is necessary.

5. What is your wait list like?
- We are generally booked out 4-6 Months in advance. Please don't let this deter you from getting a quote done as occasionally spaces do open up earlier!

6. How long might it take to have my house restumped?
- This depends on a few things such as how many stumps are being replaced what the access is like. Typically restumping takes us between 1-2 weeks.

7. I have doors/windows jamming, can you help with that?
- Yes! We can lift or lower some parts of your house to help adjust your doors and windows. This is achieved by packing the current stumps with cement sheet to adjust the height.

8. At what point in my renovation should I restump my house?
- Restumping should always be considered before any other works. This is because it can effect the levels in your house and potentially cause damage to your newly renovated home.

9. How can I tell if my house needs restumping?
- Some tell tale signs that your house may need restumping are: You may notice movement in your house such as cracks appearing or doors /windows jamming. You also may wish to get your home restumped if it is over 60 years old and on timber stumps to prevent any future damage occurring e.g rot, termites etc
